How Ripley Valley’s growth is planned
The plans shaping Ripley Valley — and why homes, roads and community spaces need to grow together.
Ripley Valley is one of Ipswich’s major growth areas. The designated Priority Development Area covers 4,680 hectares, approximately five kilometres south-east of central Ipswich and south of the Cunningham Highway.
Ipswich City Council describes the area’s potential as 48,750 dwellings accommodating 131,000 people. These are planning projections for the area’s development, not a count of today’s homes or residents.
For residents, growth is about more than the next subdivision. The delivery of roads, parks and services shapes how neighbourhoods work day to day. Our development coverage follows those individual projects, distinguishing proposals from approvals and completed works.
